What is the WOSB certification?
Businesses awarded with the WOSB certification must meet these primary requirements (1) be an eligible small business (2) be at least 51% owned by and controlled by women who are also U.S. citizens (3) have women who manage daily operations and make long-term decisions.

Aside from meeting these three basic requirements, eligible businesses must create a profile and submit an application via SBA’s online certification platform. Those who go through the meticulous application process and are awarded a WOSB certification are then eligible to join the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Program.
