The strongest retention strategy isn't another benefit—it's making people feel valued long before they're ever hired.

One of the biggest shifts I'm seeing in pharmacy hiring isn't happening during the interview.
It's happening long before a candidate ever applies.

Today's pharmacists want more than a competitive paycheck. They want strong leadership, a positive workplace culture, opportunities to grow, the support they need to succeed, and work that allows them to make a real difference every day.

The most effective pharmacy leaders that I work with understand that recruiting doesn't begin with a job posting—it begins with creating a workplace where talented people want to stay.

People stay where they matter. I've found that the most meaningful conversations aren't about filling an open position. They're about building teams where people can thrive.
I'd love to hear your perspective.

If you're a pharmacy leader, what's made the biggest difference in attracting and retaining exceptional people?

If you're a pharmacist, what makes an employer stand out to you?

Please share your thoughts in the comments below. Your experience may be exactly what someone else needs to hear.
